Malmö has become an attractive city with many highly rated events on the city's stages and arenas for culture, sport and entertainment. Residents of Malmö and visitors now have excellent opportunities for interesting and enjoyable experiences. The city is an interesting destination for culture and entertainment tourism. In particular, the aim is to offer three different categories of event: events for the general public, events for young people and events that attract attention. Malmö is also an attractive city in which to establish a company and a popular place to move to.
Over 100 million people in Europe can reach Malmö by air in less than two hours. Travelling by train is an easy alternative. You 'land' right in the centre of Malmö and do not need any connecting transport. Four hours from Stockholm, two and a half from Gothenburg. The Öresund train from Copenhagen only takes just over half an hour, and on its way it picks up air travellers from Kastrup, Copenhagen's Airport.
With a population of nearly 300,000 Malmö is an intimate city with a big-city feel, offering a wide range of high class cultural, entertainment and sporting events.
A pulsating city centre. Shops, hotels, restaurants and many pleasant and exciting urban
environments such as Lilla Torg, Möllevångstorget and all the attractive parks and canals.
Thanks to its seaside location Malmö has unique qualities as a coastal city. The Ribersborg area has a 3 km bathing beach, and right next to it is Västra Hamnen with its pubs, cafés, boating and bathing from wharfs and promenades. Distances are short and its position in the middle of the Öresund region means it is close to the metropolis of Copenhagen and the rest of Sealand and to idyllic countryside in Österlen and Söderslätt.
Conferences and corporate meetings become so much more than just a solemn exchange of knowledge. It is often the personal contacts and experiences that you remember best! Meetings are exciting - in terms of both people and environments. The proximity to Copenhagen is a great resource, as is the relatively weak Swedish currency, which creates price advantages. Malmö complements Copenhagen on its own terms.
