Malmö, Copenhagen's Swedish neighbour. An excellent alternative to the big city buzz. With the opening of the fixed link in 2000, travelling between Sweden and Denmark has never been easier. A train ride from Copenhagen Airport Kastrup to central Malmö takes less than 25 minutes.
It is not far to go to most amenities in Malmö. Theatres, museums, art galleries and exhibition facilities are all within walking distance. In Malmö there is also a rich offering of exciting restaurants with more than 300 to choose from. The most well known meeting places are the pedestrian areas, Lilla Torg and Möllevångstorget. Malmö is nicknamed the "city of parks" and a walk through the greenery or a boat ride on the canals is a magnificent way to experience this charming city. It has an excellent range of shops (open on Sundays) and a large choice of cultural attractions.
