Sustainable food in Malmö
The city of Malmö has established some very ambitious targets concerning the environment and sustainability for the next 10-15 years. 100% of the food purchased in the City of Malmö should be organic by 2020. This is stated in Malmö's Policy for sustainable development and food, approved by the city council in 2010.

Malmö's aim for 100% renewables
In conjunction with the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), ICLEI World Secretariat is compiling case studies on topics related to renewable energy in cities. One of the themes is ambitious target settings by municipalities, with goals for 100% renewables, and particularly how the municipality is going about this in its master plan or other policies. Green Cooperation Denmark Sweden
Now we can offer through Green Cooperation a full service to foreign delegations who wants to see green solutions in the Öresund Region. With the new service it will be possible for delegations to visit both Denmark and Sweden in just a couple of hours.

Eco Procura and Sustainability Week 2012
To create a sustainable and attractive city is a main goal and high ambition in the City of Malmö. In September 2012 a particular focus was put on sustainability questions, when no less than five conferences on different aspects of this topic were hosted in the city.
Malmö is aiming further
Malmo is a signatory to the Covenant of Mayors, along with over 3000 other cities, all committed to reducing carbon emissions by at least 20% by 2020. This film produced for a Covenant of Mayor conference describes some of the measures taking place in Malmö. See the film on Youtube

Sustainable City Malmö
By 2020, the City of Malmö's own organization will be climate neutral and by 2030 the whole municipality will run on 100% renewable energy.
