1. Western Harbour / Bo01

This tour will take you to the Western Harbour, a modern city-front development on former brownfield land. The new city area has been built with sustainability as the major aim and is now an international tourist attraction. The first phase, Bo01, was built in 2001 and demonstrates several integrated solutions for sustainability. The energy concept has attracted a great deal of interest: 100% locally produced renewable energy proves that the zero CO2 vision is possible. The tour will inform you about the renewable energy system for Bo01 and illustrate the results of using a green planning tool called the Green Space Factor as well as local storm water management. You will be taken to see World Trade Centre Malmö, an energy-efficient office building. You will also hear about adaptation and mitigation in this part of the city.

2. Augustenborg

This tour will take you to an area built in the 1950s that was redeveloped in the late 1990s involving the residents in the planning process. It is now a prime example of climate change adaptation measures with green roofs and open storm water management. You will also hear about multiple use green areas and the local water management. This will give you an insight into how City of Malmö works with mitigation, adaptation and increasing sustainability in existing areas.

3. Solar Region Skåne

This tour will educate you on the Solar Region Skåne cooperation, solar power technology and the solar power installations in Malmö. The tour will guide you through installations of photovoltaics and solar collectors at different sites in Malmö.
