Opening Hours: Mon, Tues, Wed: 10am - 7pm, Thur: 10am - 5pm, Fri: 13am - 5pm Sun (sept-apr): 14am - 17pm
All visitors have free access to books and other media (we charge a fee of 20 kronors for hiring films on dvd). Any loans require a library card.
Our collections
Except for our collection in Swedish literature and other media, our collections include some literature, newspapers and magazines in English, French, Serbian, Croatian, Arabic, Persian, Urdu and Danish. We also have music cd:s, films on dvd and some computer games.
Borrowing from the Library
Borrowing media from the Library is free of charge, except for films on dvd (20 kr/week), childrens' films free of charge. You need to have a library card to borrow any media.
Library card
To obtain a library card, you need to fill in a form. For this you need an id-card, a passport or the LMA-card (or the paper before you get the card) you receive from the immigration services. You do not have to be a Swedish citizen. If you are under the age of 16, you need the consent of a parent/legal representative (signature). The card is personal, you are not allowed to use someone else's card.
Free computer access
Our services include free computer access. We have four computers (visitors min. 14 yrs of age), one computer for children up to 13 and three computers for students etc. You need a library card, id-card, passport or LMA-card to gain access to the computers. You can book a computer on the phone or at the information desk of the library. You can book a computer for 30 minutes, or at special request up to 1 hour. Hotmail sometimes does not work, so it is advisable to use another e-mail supplier.
Saving your documents etc on the computers is not possible. However, you may use your own USB-memory on our computers.
Printing and photocopying
Printing and photocopying is available to our visitors. (2 kronor per sheet (A4) up to 20 sheets. More than 20 sheets are 1 kronor each).
Fax
A fax machine is available. 5 kronor/sheet. Swedish fax numbers only.
If you loose your library card
The owner of the library card is responsible for all items borrowed on the card. Lost library cards should be cancelled immediately. A duplicate can be obtained by paying a small fee.
Fines
In case of damaging, loosing or returning borrowed material late, a fine will have to be paid according to a certain price-list. (only available in Swedish)
