Malmö combats climate change
Malmö has signed the Covenant of Mayors initiative to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The Covenant of Mayors is an EU initiative, which aims at improving energy efficiency significantly in the urban environment through a formal commitment by the cities to reduce their CO2 emissions.

The Planet in 2050 in Malmö
Close to fifty of the world´s leading scientists have been in Lund and Malmö for an internal workshop named “The Planet in 2050". Their aim have been to describe desirable futures for Earth in the year 2050 and explore pathways to move from the present situation toward those futures.
